for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team! This position will be located onsite in Warren, RI.
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer
(ME) is responsible for ongoing support and continuous improvement of the
manufacturing process of high precision sealing components made at Magnetic
Seal (MagSeal) in Warren, RI. From
prototype development through production, the Manufacturing Engineer works
collaboratively with all business functions to ensure quality product is
delivered on time to meet our customers' demanding sealing needs.
This role requires a self-motivated
individual who is well organized and able to manage multiple projects and/or
tasks concurrently. The ME will lead projects aimed at improving process
efficiency, capacity, and/or sustainability of existing processes. This
includes specifying new technology and supporting the capital expenditure
process from start to finish.
The ideal candidate will have relevant
experience in precision machining processes such as turning, milling, grinding
(surface/ID/OD) and lapping processes. The ability to think-out-of-the-box and
apply your skills to solve manufacturing challenges is a key function of this
role.
Essentials Functions:
- Support existing manufacturing processes and associated technology.
- Calculate manufacturing costs of new and existing product.
- Create or modify Engineering Masters and routers utilizing the manufacturing ERP system.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the manufacturing process and carry out those improvements.
- Identify and implement new technology to drive process improvements and increase manufacturing capacity.
- Develop and properly document new manufacturing processes and/or process changes via Process Change Notice (PCN) system.
- Support strategic outsourcing of manufacturing operations as deemed necessary by production demand.
- Create and oversee preventative maintenance (PM) procedures and regulatory inspections as required.
- Support Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives throughout the organization.
- Interact with other departments, customers and suppliers as required.
- Follow in house manufacturing and engineering processes and assist in the creation and improvement of companywide process documentation.
- Recommend & implement process changes in support of internal & external customer(s).

- Ability to learn CNC programming.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or related technical degree with 2-5 years relevant experience or an associate's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent degree with 5-10 years relevant experience.
- Must be a US citizen or a US permanent resident.
- Local to the Rhode Island facility.
- Experience creating 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks CAD is highly preferred.
- Experience working with CAM software such as SolidWorks CAM or MasterCAM is preferred.
- Proficient in a variety of manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Working experience with machine mechanics and/or electronics.
- Computer skills to include all Microsoft office applications, engineering CAD (Solid-works), project/time management software such as Outlook for effective time management.
- Familiarity with a wide variety of machine tools, measuring tools, hand tools, and specialty tools.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and ITAR regulations is preferred.
- Possess high self-motivation, persistent drive and takes the initiative to realize goals and objectives.

This position requires access to export-controlled information and/or hardware,
and candidates must be U.S. Persons that comply with all U.S. Export control
