Job Title: Warehouse Operator II
FLSA Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt/Hourly Professional
Work Location: Fall River, MA
Work Hours: First Shift: 8 AM a" 5 PM (May very based on business needs)
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Salary Range $20 - $26/hr

Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to assist in the warehouse operations of a pharmaceutical manufacturing company.

Multifunctional Role:

This job is a multifunctional role. The primary nature of this job is to serve as a Warehouse Operator. As a secondary requirement, this position will be expected to provide support to other operational functions to include but not limited to Packaging Operations, Manufacturing Operations, and Facilities Operations.

Job Description:

The Warehouse Operator performs all functions relating to the receipt, dispensing, and storage of raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials; consistent with established Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), customer requirements and in conjunction with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Incumbents in this position are responsible for the safe and efficient execution of their job duties, while ensuring product compliance to established standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

a Responsible for receipt and dispensing of Raw materials and Packing materials.
a Receiving and storing finished goods and miscellaneous items.
a Ensuring all products are stored in proper conditions, protected against any unnecessary spillage or deterioration.
a Inspecting all materials for damage.
a Dispatching finished goods.
a Cleaning and sanitizing warehouse area.
a Operating, cleaning, and calibrating machinery.
a Verifying and maintaining accurate inventory of all warehouse materials and updating daily logs.
a Checking the approved material before dispensing and generating labels from system.
a Ensuring safe, effective material movement in the warehouse and production areas
a Loading and offloading trucks using proper equipment.
a Working individually and in collaboration with others as part of a team.
a Helping the QA Department in sampling process as needed.
a Collaborating with other departments to include but not limited to QC, Production, Packaging, and Engineering.
a Executing procedures to complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
a Performing duties through the proper safe use of equipment, according to Health & Safety procedures and Equipment Manuals.
a Performing other related duties as assigned.
a Inspect carriers/trailers of inbound and outbound shipments.
a Escorts drivers always when in the facility.
a Receives and unloads freight, checks for damaged goods, verifies items and quantities received with BOL, Packing List, PO, etc.
a Moves materials as required for sampling, inspection, status label changes, etc.
a Move materials from Quarantine to Released or Rejected areas as directed by Quality Assurance.
a Perform dispensing activities for Packaging and Raw materials
a Picks materials from Released inventory following GMP rules as required per production schedule, pick list, or production record requirement.
a Make the necessary documentation entries
a Deliver materials to specified locations
a Load outbound freight as specified in BOLas after confirming material or production descriptions, lot numbers, count and quantities.
a Perform inventory counts as required.
a Maintains assigned areas in a clean and orderly state. Performs minor and spot cleaning as required.
a Verifies documentation and reports for accuracy
a Complies will all aspects of quality management system, cGMP policies, documentation and record keeping in accordance with industry and FDA standards and Safety and sanitation regulations.
a Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data.
a Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements.
a Receives incoming materials or prepares material for shipment.
a Un/packs or un/wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
a Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
a Logs receipt of items on systems, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
a Reports materials shipped and bills of lading, and posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
a Maintain shipping, receiving, staging, kitting and storage areas that are compliant, efficient, effective and safe.
a Owns inventory accuracy.

Other Responsibilities:

a Maintaining 100% cGMP and SOP Compliance during complete operation hours.
a Complying with all company policies and procedures.
a Must adhere to and follow the QMS System based on the role and rights assigned.
a Completing documents in a time manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
a Reporting all issues that arises to the department head or reporting manager.
a Performing daily maintenance on equipment and machinery.
a Maintaining discipline in department.
a May be required to assist in the training of other employees in the department.
a Remaining flexible to work extended hours to achieve department goals when needed.

Training and Safety:

All employees must undergo various training activities at the start of their employment. New trainings and re-trainings will occur periodically. Warehouse operators may be required cross-train in all areas of the warehouse operations. Employees must strictly adhere to all safety, health, and environmental guidelines at all times and ensure that all safety precautions are being taken during handling of machines.

Qualifications:

a High school diploma or equivalent is required.
a Accredited college certificate or university degree is preferred.
a Minimum of one (2) years' experience in warehouse operations preferred.
a Proficiency in the English language (Speaking/Reading/Writing) to understand work instructions and document results.
a Knowledge of fundamental cGMP and regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment highly preferred.
a Basic understanding of mechanical machinery and the operating principles of control systems.
a Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
a Demonstrated ability to work in both independent and team environments.
a Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including, OSHA.
a Strong mathematical and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

a This position requires the ability to do heavy lifting / bending frequently.
a Exert an amount of force continuously and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force rarely by utilizing a hand truck to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
a Ability to wear appropriate PPE is required.
a Individual may be required to wear respiratory devices that include but are not limited to: Air Purifying Respirators (APR) which include half-face and full-face negative pressure respirators, hooded powered air purifying respirators, or Supplied Air Respirators (SAR), which include hooded or full face supplied air respirators.
