Responsibilities

Sabre Systems is currently hiring for a Project Analyst/Scheduler at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) in Lakehurst, NJ. NAWCADLKE is the premiere Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Aircraft Support Equipment (SE) research, development, test and evaluation, and sustainment installation supporting the US Navy. The primary job responsibilities of the Project Analyst/Scheduler include, but are not limited to:

  • Working at the direction of the Team Leader and/or Supervisor in development and maintenance of government Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and other schedule related products in accordance with Cost Department Processes and Toolkits.
  • Building and maintaining good relationships and interfaces with the customer and team members (Cost Department, Competencies, Academia, etc.) and serve as customer point of contact for IMS development efforts.
  • Participating in analysis and interpretation of high level, broadly stated, DOD and SECNAV directives and instructions, and to determine their proper application within schedule development.
  • Utilizing DOD and program specific source documents (SOW, IMP, WBS,OBS) and information gathered from program teams to develop an IMS.
  • Participating in team meetings, teleconferences, working group meetings, program management reviews and technical reviews. Coordinate efforts with the appropriate technical and/or programmatic experts to ensure a complete and quality product.
  • With guidance, ensuring scheduling principles, processes, techniques, and tools are applied properly thereby ensuring that all schedule products are accurate, timely, and consistent.
  • Establishing a schedule baseline that reflects project critical path and monitor and report variances to the baseline to program leadership.
  • Providing support to team establishing and maintaining business rhythms for schedule development and maintenance in accordance with Cost Department Best Practices.
  • Preparing and providing schedule health assessments, progress reports, analysis, and trending charts on a routine basis and provide recommendations to mitigate risks associated with achieving baseline schedule.
  • Maintaining record of scope changes, trends and variances that potentially affect schedule performance.
  • Participating in Schedule Risk Assessments of the government schedule to determine areas of risk and its potential impact to specific milestones and/or program completion.
  • Supporting Integrated Baseline Reviews, other management reviews to gain an understanding of schedule processes, baseline, and performance.
  • Developing and presenting oral presentations in his/her area of competence to assist management who require an understanding of schedules, scheduling issues, or other schedule related subjects.
  • Providing guidance, consultations, and advice to customers on Cost Department processes and lessons learned as they relate to development and utilization of schedules as a project management tool. This activity involves a variety of organizations and management disciplines both internal to DOD and private industry.
  • Coordinating reviews of all schedule products with the cognizant Cost Department Branch Head.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Science, or Math related field, or at least 24 semesters hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics, is required. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
  • Some related experience and knowledge is required.
  • The selected candidate must have an Active DoD Security Clearance.
