PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Senior Planner/Scheduler at Worley, you will play an integral role in shaping and delivering projects that support a more sustainable world. Working at the intersection of engineering expertise and strategic scheduling, you will ensure that complex energy, chemicals, and resources projects progress on time, within scope, and in alignment with our customers' evolving sustainability goals. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive excellence in project planning and execution, contributing to Worley's ambition to be recognized globally as a leader in sustainability solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed engineering and construction schedules for both project proposals and active project execution.
  • Ensure that all supporting schedules are accurate, compatible, and strategically aligned to support timely project delivery.
  • Partner with project management and multidisciplinary teams to identify and implement opportunities for improved project performance.
  • Lead the preparation of scheduling reports and presentations, offering actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Guide and support scheduling personnel, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to project standards and expectations.
  • Contribute to a collaborative project environment, fostering open communication and integration across engineering, construction, and business functions.
  • Demonstrate proactive leadership by mentoring junior team members and sharing expertise across scheduling functions.
  • Serve as a key liaison with stakeholders, clearly communicating scheduling strategies, challenges, and solutions.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of scheduling tools, methodologies, and systems to resolve complex planning challenges and enhance project outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET



  • A university degree, or equivalent qualification, in engineering, construction management, project controls, or a related discipline; or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Extensive experience in planning and scheduling within the energy, chemicals, or resources sector, ideally in environments where sustainability and innovation are core focuses.
  • Advanced proficiency in project scheduling, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex timelines across multiple phases of major projects.
  • Proven experience leading project planning teams and managing the performance of direct and indirect reports in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to translate data into actionable plans that align with business and customer objectives.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear presentation of ideas and project updates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership in supporting the growth and development of project teams, and a commitment to continuous improvement in planning practices.
  • A thorough understanding of planning software, scheduling tools, and digital systems used in project delivery within a global, data-centric organization.
