Position Title Temporary On-call Archaeological Technician
About this Opportunity
Ball State University welcomes applications for Temporary On-call Archaeological Technician.
Salary Grade
Wages Begin At 14.00
FLSA Non-Exempt
Hrs/Week Variable
Pre-Employment Screening Requires successful completion of a background check and education verification.
Position Function
Perform Phase 1, Phase 2, or Phase 3 archaeological surveys and related laboratory analysis as assigned by Director, under direction of Crew Chief, Field Director, and/or Principal Investigator.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field by time of appointment.
Minimum Experience
At least 120 hours of archaeological experience in Cultural Resource Management or under similar working conditions.
Minimum Other
Authorization to work in the US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education
Training in laboratory analysis of prehistoric cultural materials.
Attendance at an archaeological field school, particularly with a pre-contact component.
Preferred Experience
200+ hours of Cultural Resource Management experience in archaeology.
