Description
SUMMARY Create and manage the strategic approach(es) for the development, execution, and evaluation of global conferences and events in the East Asia & Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and West Asia & Africa Areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Ability to travel 25% of the time. Avalid driver's license and passport are required. Site visits and on-site conference management when and where applicable. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE A Bachelor's degree or a minimum of five (5) years of experience in international conference/events management, exhibits, or tradeshow environments is required.
Candidates with a combination of relevant experience and technical proficiency in these areas will be strongly considered. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, committees, customers, other staff members of the organization, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages pertaining to budgets, forecasts, and contractual agreements. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously to meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Proven ability to build relationships and work in a matrix and team-oriented environment.
