Our client is a leader in their field, helping professionals and companies with their hiring practices. As more markets emerge, it's imperative that professionals not only utilize our clients platform but also be provided with insights, trends, and best practices that will help them grow, professionally. To assist with that, our client has an extensive library of content that they want to share. In this role you will help improve performance articles, geared towards job seekers, through proper optimization for both German and French markets. Here are the top 3 skills we are seeking:

  • Deep understanding of the labor market and workplace culture of Germany and France. You've lived and/or worked in both countries for many years.
  • You understand the interplay between content marketing and SEO, including best practices for optimizing content to attract traffic and drive engagement.
  • You're highly communicative and collaborative, capable of forging productive partnerships with other contractors and cross-functional stakeholders.

We are looking for an Editor to help oversee content quality for the German and French Career Guide sites. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing articles to improve content quality, engagement and adhere to SEO best practices. You should have a deep understanding of the German and French labor markets and language, and strong writing and editing skills. You will work closely with members of the SEO team and international content marketing vendors in a highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve content quality for German and French Career Guide articles:

    • This will be your main focus. You will be assigned articles to review and improve content quality based on the target keyword and your understanding of the intended audience.

  • Optimize for SEO traffic performance:

    • Research a target keyword, what our content should cover based on the Google SERP for that keyword, and address the search intent of the job seeker.
    • Format and improve articles using our local style guide.

  • Share your findings with the team:

    • Gather insights about content trends (problems, opportunities, etc.) in Germany and France, and share your learnings with the team.
    • Share your learnings and research with vendor partners so they can improve their work for the Career Guide sites for Germany and France.

  • Partner with SEO team members:

    • Work closely with the SEO team - particularly our SEO specialists for Germany and France - to collaborate on optimization tactics, which will be measured against a shared team goal of improving content quality and traffic/search ranking performance.

About you.

  • German (Germany) and French (France) language skills. You are fluent in both German and French and have spent many years living and working in Germany and France. You have a deep understanding of the job search process and unique work culture in these countries.
  • 3+ years editing experience. You excel at editing for clarity, polishing the language, and effectively addressing the reader's needs.
  • 3+ years SEO content experience. You will need to have a strong understanding of SEO best practices. You keep your finger on the pulse of SEO best practices, especially as they relate to long-form web content, in the face of ever-evolving algorithms.

  • You're an excellent communicator. You write well and you speak eloquently. Your clear, constant and actionable language enables internal and external partners to understand your expectations, and encourages them to communicate transparently with you, in turn.
  • You're a positive and proactive problem solver. You're comfortable doing things for the first time and, when new challenges arise, you're quick to identify and explore creative solutions. You're agile, resourceful and remain cool under pressure.
