Job Summary: The Bereavemnt Comm EDU Specialist work with Community Education Specialist, Child Life Community Outreach Grant, collaborates with Program Manager, Child Life Services, Loma Linda University School of Marriage and Family Counseling, and the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office in planning, implementing, and evaluating Camp Good Grief - Special Victims Program (CGG-SVP) for children ages 9 - 17 years; conducts grief support groups for children following each CGG-SVP; coordinates reunion and remembrance activities; makes referrals for psychological counseling as deemed appropriate; travels to designated locations to provide education and grief support for children's groups at community centers, churches, and schools; facilitates and provides grief education and support interventions for defined population; serves as a resource for LLUCH and community on grief education; collaborates with the Program Manager in grant-writing and exploring opportunities to fund program; serves as a child advocate and liaison among hospital, District Attorney's office, and Marriage and Family Counseling clinic; utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize customer service in a manner that supports excellence in customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism; contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population.
