CONSTRUCTION SAFETY MANAGER

In coordination with the Director of Environmental Health and Safety, the Construction Safety Manager implements and maintains comprehensive safety programs focused on fire safety, life safety, hazardous material compliance, workplace safety, and construction safety. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all construction projects across Montefiore Health System (MHS), including facilities such as MMC (Moses, Wakefield, Weiler, Hutchinson, and Westchester Square Campuses), MMV and MNR, Montefiore Nyack, and Montefiore St. Luke's (Newburgh and Cornwall Campuses), adhere to applicable safety regulations and policies. The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including but not limited to those from OSHA, TJC, EPA, CMS, DEC, FDNY, DOH, DOT, and DEP. This role focuses on proactive risk identification and mitigation to maintain safe construction environments while supporting the operational needs of the healthcare system. As the lead for construction safety, the manager collaborates closely with project managers, contractors, and departmental leadership to ensure a seamless integration of safety protocols into all phases of construction. They will develop and deliver targeted training, coordinate safety inspections, and lead investigations into construction-related incidents to drive continuous improvement. QUALIFICATIONS:
