As an Operational Governance Project Manager, you will:



  • Implement and maintain operational governance processes that ensure effective execution of operational initiatives
  • Collaborate with management, Product teams, Business Analyst teams, and third-party vendors to execute operational governance objectives and deliverables
  • Document organizational structure and business processes to support accountability and ownership across operations
  • Support the implementation of third-party risk management processes to ensure regulatory compliance when working with external vendors
  • Coordinate among Operations teams, Business Analyst teams, Product teams, and Technology teams to ensure smooth execution of operational projects
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules for operational initiatives
  • Create and distribute regular status reports focused on operational performance metrics, risks, and process effectiveness
  • Work with Business Analyst teams to implement project governance processes that integrate business analysis stages into operational workflows
  • Maintain clear communication channels between management, Operations teams, Business Analyst teams, and Technology delivery groups
  • Manage day-to-day project activities including resource allocation in collaboration with team leads
  • Monitor budget adherence for operational initiatives in partnership with Finance
  • Implement operational risk management procedures; escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders
  • Conduct regular project health checks and present findings to management
  • Apply best practices in operational project methodologies to support successful delivery
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations relevant to operations
  • Support change management processes within operations-focused initiatives
  • Monitor third-party vendor performance against SLAs and contractual obligations



As an Operational Governance Project Manager, you will work closely with the 2U Project Management team-including the Product Governance Project Manager and Technical & Integrations Governance Project Manager-to ensure coordinated project execution across the 2UniFi initiative.

In addition, as an Operational Governance Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between strategic objectives and day-to-day operational execution. Your ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships while driving operational excellence will be key to ensuring the success of our enterprise-wide initiatives.

Minimum Requirements: This position requires the following educational and/or job experience:




  • Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, operations management or related roles
  • Experience managing cross-functional operational projects involving multiple stakeholder groups
  • Experience working with Business Analyst teams and understanding business analysis processes
  • Understanding of product development lifecycles and technology implementation processes
  • Experience facilitating project-level decision-making related to operational governance
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work effectively with stakeholders at various levels
  • Analytical capabilities with problem-solving skills focused on operational effectiveness



Desired Skills: Ideal candidates for this position should possess some or all of the following skills:



  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience in banking or financial services industry operations
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements within the financial sector
  • Proficiency in project management software tools and business intelligence platforms
  • Practical decision-making capabilities focused on operations execution
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Experience in change management practices within operational environments
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies
  • Experience in third-party vendor management
