Job Summary:
Perform preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and other skilled duties including HVAC Systems, boilers, and other mechanical systems. Additional duties may include painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, cement and tile masonry, dry wall, landscaping or other recognized duties for the purpose of maintaining, repairing or remodeling Centerpoint owned and operated buildings and facilities.
Essential Functions:
- Carry out all duties as directed by Facilities Management. Perform maintenance and system management of the central HVAC control system. Perform skilled maintenance repair to buildings and grounds as assigned. These duties will include, but are not limited to:
- HVAC PM's, trouble shooting, repair
- Electrical work/trouble shooting
- Drywall repair/light painting
- Ceiling tile replacement
- Plumbing repair/maintenance
- Gutter repair and other sheet metal repair
- Lock, handle, and core replacements
- Gate and fence repairs
- Generator PM's and repair
- Snow removal and salt distribution
- Grounds and landscaping cleanup
- Installation of monitor wall mounts, boards, and other mounted items
- Assist and support general and specialized contractors on specialized maintenance repairs and installations
- Floor tile/carpet replacement
- Fire suppression system troubleshooting and maintenance
- Ensure all maintenance requests are entered into the Facilities Management software, including any maintenance activities that arise from observation. Adhere to all company safety practices and guidelines, and attend all mandated safety training. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace during and after each maintenance activity. Meet overtime and other emergency maintenance requirements. Complete all other duties as assigned.
Education Description:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED, Must be able to obtain a CDL
- Preferred:HVAC Certification(s)/License, Welding Certification(s), Completion of certificate programs in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other maintenance related programs.
Experience:
- Minimum 2-4 years' experience maintaining residential and commercial HVAC units
- Be capable of following instructions accurately and methodically. Ability to push/pull, grasps tools, and perform repetitive motion.
- Be able to lift 100 lbs. Be able to work in adverse/inclement weather; including temperatures above 120 degrees and below freezing. Be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical components.
- Preferred 4-8 years' experience in building and/or grounds maintenance, experience with HVAC control systems
