SUMMARY STATEMENT
This position will report to the Vice President of Human Resources (HR) and will work closely with management, Principal Compensation Consultant and HR leadership team. This position is responsible for formulating and leading the implementation of compensation plans, programs, and policies for GuideWell Source family of companies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership for all matters pertaining to compensation. This include:
Compensation Administration (50%)
* Leads the day-to-day management, administration, and communication of employee compensation processes and programs such as promotions, demotions, equity reviews, job evaluation/re-evaluations, merit, incentive and reward and recognition in accordance with company's strategic goals, HR policies, and federal and state laws/regulations
* Develops compensation policies and programs focused on enhancing organizational effectiveness and increasing employee motivation and retention
* Provides subject matter expertise to HR staff and leadership on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation.
* Provides advice and guidance to management on creative solutions to unique compensation-related issues.
* Develops, implements and monitors appropriate controls and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of compensation program, policies and service on organization effectiveness.
Compensation Program Development (20%)
* Oversees the annual compensation program development to support the strategic direction and implement cost effective changes; provides leadership to compensation team in establishing the project plan and ensuring deliverables are met.
* Leads the analysis of salary survey and data to understand industry trends regarding salary structure movement, merit budget, size of merit awards and merit population and implications to company's pay programs.
* Formulates recommendations for changes; works with Principal Compensation Consultant to present recommendations to management in an influential or persuasive way that guide and facilitate their decision-making process.
* Leads the implementation of program changes and communications to management and employees.
* Partners with HRIS staff to implement the changes in the HR system.
Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) (10%)
* Oversees the review and analysis SCLS wage determination rates for each of the Medicare Administration Contracts (MAC) at annual renewal to ensure the company remains compliant with the government regulations.
* Communicates findings to management, finance, staffing, benefits, and impacted team members.
Compensation Projects: (10%)
* Compensation Systems: Oversees the evaluation of compensation-related systems. May perform one or more of the following tasks and/or delegates tasks to identify requirements, configure, test, prepare training materials or job aides for department and end users, audit data feeds from HR system to compensation systems to ensure data accuracy, and collaborate with HR department(s) and vendor to resolve issues.
* Medicare Reform & New Business: Consults with leadership on compensation matters to support GWS efforts to maintain its current Medicare contracts and bid on/acquire new government business.
* Other Compensation-Related Projects: Leads and/or consults on compensation-related projects such as the review and evaluation of existing incentive plans.
Compensation Audit & Compliance (10%)
* Ensures appropriate controls are in place to identify compensation related issues.
* Ensures department stays in compliance with all compensations' policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as the supervisor may, from time to time, deem necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in related field and
* 5+ years related work experience, with which includes 4+ years' direct supervisory/project management lead or other leadership experience
* Demonstrated ability to build relationships and alliances at a variety of levels across organizational boundaries internally and externally
* Demonstrated ability to achieve desired results on time and within budget
* Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to the Fair Labor Standards Act and other compensation-related laws, regulations and practices.
* Strong project management skills at the organizational level
* Intermediate skills in MS Word (document merge), Outlook, Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, IF-THEN formulas) and PowerPoint.
* Experience using human resources information systems (i.e., ADP, PeopleSoft, Taleo, Success Factors, etc.)
* Experience with commercial market pricing databases such as PayScale/Market Pay.
* Self-starter who can multi-task and achieve performance goals in a dynamic, changing environment.
* A high level of ethics and integrity
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with leaders at all levels
* Must be detail-oriented
* Ability to manage sensitive information in a confidential manner
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Advanced Excel (macros, advanced formulas, advanced charting) skills
* Work experience in healthcare or government contracting organization
* Work experience in benefits and/or human resources systems
* Experience providing training and/or guidance on how a system or process works
* PHR or SPHR
* CCP (Certified Compensation Professional)
Requirements

The Federal Government and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) may require applicants to have lived in the United States for a minimum of three (3) years out of the last five (5) years to be employed with the Company. These years of residence do not have to be consecutive.
