Job Title: Global Logistics Manager

Location: Budapest

Department: Supply Chain

Reports To: Senior Director, Supply Chain

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Global Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our logistics operations on a global scale. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing freight costs, fleet planning, warehouse operations, and inventory resupply. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of global logistics and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Freight Cost Management and Reporting:

  • Analyze and manage freight costs to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions.

  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce freight expenses while maintaining service quality.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on freight costs and logistics performance to senior management.

  • Fleet Planning:

  • Oversee the planning and management of the company's fleet to ensure efficient and reliable transportation.

  • Coordinate with fleet managers to optimize vehicle utilization and maintenance schedules.

  • Implement fleet management best practices to improve operational efficiency.

  • Warehouse Management and Reconciliation:

  • Manage global warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and distribution of goods.

  • Implement and maintain warehouse management systems to track inventory and streamline operations.

  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company policies.

  • Inventory Resupply Management:

  • Develop and implement inventory resupply strategies to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to manage lead times and order quantities.

  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust resupply plans based on demand forecasts and sales trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on global operations.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing logistics operations and reducing costs.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills:

  • S/4 Hana and TM Module experience required

  • Freight cost analysis and management.

  • Fleet planning and optimization.

  • Warehouse management and inventory reconciliation.

  • Inventory resupply planning and management.

  • Data analysis and reporting.

  • Strategic thinking and continuous improvement.
