JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB

The primary objective of this position is to participate in and/or support IT infrastructure and operations processes, across both data center and cloud environments. We will choose specific areas of work to match the intern's experience and goals and embed the intern in one of our IT engineering teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS



  • Learn and apply technical skills to deploy and maintain IT infrastructure.


  • Work with various IT teams to learn techniques for infrastructure and systems management.


  • Analyze and document technical needs.


  • Conduct simple deployment and troubleshooting of IT hardware/software.


  • Interact on a regular basis with other groups on technical matters.


  • Work with other IT teams to accomplish infrastructure project objectives, specifics to-be-determined. This may include teams for DevOps automation, cybersecurity, and data management.


  • Interact with functional groups from other departments to gather information on needs and issues.


  • Create technical documentation.


  • Create formal documentation corresponding to deliverables.


  • Maintain various project-related documents (e.g. spreadsheets, diagrams) as needed to track and guide tasks.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements



  • Education:



    • Enrolled in an Engineering, Computer Science, or similar program



  • Experience:



    • Junior or senior year in college



Knowledge / Technical Requirements



  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: computer networking, server administration, cloud computing, web applications, systems analysis.


  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

  • Good organizational skills required.


  • Good interpersonal and communication skills required.


  • Good attention to detail required.
