Job Summary:

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in launching cutting-edge products into the market? As a Product Industrialization Engineer, you'll be at the heart of innovation-driving seamless transitions from development to full-scale manufacturing across our North American facilities. You'll lead Manufacturing Transfer and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, uniting cross-functional teams from product development, supply chain, manufacturing, and external partners to ensure every detail is aligned for success. Your impact will be felt in the creation and optimization of tools, equipment, and processes that guarantee reliable, efficient, and high-quality production. What you will do



  • Ensure adherence to the applicable development process for product introductions, qualifications and release
  • Are accountable for validating the process and equipment capability meets requirements identified during the Development stage
  • To do feasibility analysis for making the product in terms of cost, material availability, technology availability and lead time
  • To prepare the Bill of Materials for the product and source the materials from the existing/new vendors or internal suppliers
  • Are accountable for establishing Inspection and Test Criteria for new components and assemblies.
  • Monitor manufacturing & ramp up at the site to targeted yields, capacity and solve performance attributes as directed by Mfg.
  • Buildpresentations to effectively communicate progress and results in reference to Industrialization initiatives.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Support to Manufacturing & Supply Chain):



  • You will work with Manufacturing to develop or improve processes, tools and equipment of the Manufacturing systems, leading to predictable, reliable, stable and efficient production processes for new and existing product introductions.
  • Be a key player in the definition of machines, tooling, and inspection equipment to industrialize the most suitableprocess with the goal to meet all product specifications.
  • To develop and train operations on the process as needed
  • Work with Supply Chain team to evaluate supplier capabilities with the goal of selecting the most suitable supplier and proactively manage supplier risk. Uncovers and evaluates supply opportunities for new and existing technologies.
  • Assist with cross plant inventory and purchasing tasks and ensure complete inventories are available for qualification and pre-production runs
  • Benchmarks best practices of processing methodologies, analytical tools, manufacturing technology and equipment in each facility; supports implementation of roadmap in facilities in advisory role.
  • Support the manufacturing and quality teams to resolve supplier part quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions.


What you will bring



  • Minimum of a bachelors degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Mechanics or Materials or Controls Engineering/Automation specialization
  • Continuous improvement mindset and a results driven and quality driven approach
  • Strong knowledge of small parts fabrication and assembly processes
  • 5-10 Years experience associated with manufacturing environments, new product/process industrialization and implementation.
  • Ability to build relationships (internal & external) and adept at interacting with internal customers across product design, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, cost estimating functions.
  • Self-Motivator able to set and achieve metric based goals, multiple tasks and priorities. overcome obstacles, and make timely decisions.
  • Project management experience.
  • Familiarity with Solid Works, or similar 3D modeling software
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel
  • Hands on Experience with Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode Avoidance and Process Controls DFM
  • Strong personal & communication skills in English. Dual language Spanish preferred.
  • Expected domestic and international travel 25-50%



Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $85,200 - $127,800 plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
