Position Summary:

The Supervisor is responsible for administrative and supervisory functions of the day-to-day operations of a busy ophthalmology practice. Position supervises call center staff. The supervisor will focus on providing high-quality care to our patients and physicians through organization and leadership. Recommends, develops and implements initiatives to enhance clinical operations. Acts proactively to troubleshoot problems. Resolves and diffuses patient, physician and staff issues. Fosters a team environment.

Key Results Areas (KRAs):

  • Supervise, train and coordinate activities of clinical and clerical employees.
  • Pursue process improvement opportunities for clinic workflows.
  • Work with Department Director to improve reimbursement for clinical services provided through workflow improvement, staff education, medication expense management, and denials management.
  • Review and update provider clinical and scheduling protocols as needed.
  • Complete weekly work schedules for staff in conjunction with Clinical Supervisors.
  • Ensure physician support.
  • Ensure scheduling and financial processes are done efficiently and correctly
  • Manage and coordinate administrative services such as expense management, safety, payroll, office equipment needs, and purchasing
  • Check the accuracy of daily deposits and ensure cash drawers were closed appropriately.
  • Establish uniform procedures and practices to maintain efficiency in workflows in conjunction with Clinical Supervisors and Practice Director.
  • Point of contact for daily operational issues

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred or at least 4 years of progressive work experience in a medical environment Required
  • 2 years of supervisory or management experience Preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in revenue cycle Preferred
