In this role, you'll lead a dedicated team of employees with disabilities, helping them develop vocational and daily living skills, while ensuring our charming town stays clean and inviting. You'll drive a crew van, support refuse collection from local businesses, and foster teamwork, independence, and personal growth-all while making a visible impact in the heart of the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Provide leadership to mobile work crew employees by fostering teamwork while balancing team and individual responsibilities; gives feedback to nurture a positive team spirit and quality performance; and models dependability, hard work, strong business ethics, and professional personal appearance.
  • Responsible for the supervision of the mobile crew employees.
  • While not directly participating in contract work, this position facilitates activities including vocational training, skill-building in areas chosen by the consumer, daily living skills, health, and safety training, etc., according to Individual Support Plan (ISP) goals and objectives.
  • Training employees on how to do assigned work and to use equipment and supplies appropriately.
  • Responsible for driving a van of up to 4 employees and trailer to transport the mobile crew safely and effectively.
  • Works closely alongside the employees while they collect refuse from buildings, businesses, and other facilities, per contract.
  • Uses a trailer to transport trash and waste to the proper disposal area.
  • Must be able to hitch and unhitch the trailer from the van safely and efficiently.
  • Perform quality assurance to ensure work sites are clean, tidy, and free from waste per contractual requirements.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks of the van to ensure cleanliness and identify and support any maintenance needs.
  • Maintain daily records of mobile crew work completion in the log book.
  • Does effective quality control of employee hours, job performed, and performance level.
  • Implements consumer goals and objectives as per employee's most recent individual service plan and submits progress reports as required.
  • Providing daily narrative notes on consumer progress toward consumer goals, objectives, and support needs.
  • Implements the Didlake safety program and reports problems and incidents immediately.
  • Fosters an atmosphere that promotes Human Rights for all consumers and ensures training, incident reporting, and awareness of responsibilities of all personnel regarding Human Rights matters.
  • Ensure Group Supported Employment services are in full compliance with Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Settings Regulations;
  • In a setting that is integrated into and supports full access to the greater community;

    • Is selected by the individual from a variety of settings options;
    • Ensures individual rights of privacy, dignity, respect, and freedom from coercion and restraint;
    • Optimizes autonomy and independence in making life choices;
    • Facilitates choice regarding services and who provides them.
    • Requires that the person-centered planning process is directed by the individual or individual's chosen representative;
    • Outlines the minimum requirements for person-centered service plans with individually identified goals and preferences.


  • Informs the Rehabilitation Department of employee progress, incidents, accidents, and achievements.
  • Performs administrative duties including paperwork requirements and answers telephone.
  • Completes and maintains all Didlake required training.
