Bottling Plant Process Engineer

The Process Engineer designs and maintains reliable and safe production systems while improving material utilization, uptime, yield, and rate attainment to reduce manufacturing expenses. The Process Engineer will identify, develop, and implement innovative solutions to improve process capability that meet or exceed requirements.

III. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • B.S. or B.A. in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field or a combination of education and experience

Kind & Length of Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years working in an engineering position in a manufacturing environment
  • Formal Continuous Improvement Certification- CQE, LEAN Gold, Six Sigma, or similar certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years' experience in a Continuous Improvement role preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) policies and philosophies is a plus.
  • Previous experience working with Fortech data management software is preferred.

IV. PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS

  • Identify, design, and create detailed specifications for equipment and other production related processes or methods.
  • Create / modify process flow diagrams, CAD drawings.
  • Support collection and perform analyses on production data.
  • Lead or support process improvement initiatives and design projects that support organizational annual cost savings targets.
  • Deliver projects on time and within agreed upon budget requirements.
  • Communicate progress toward key performance indicator goal attainment through daily management processes (e.g. huddle boards), where appropriate.
  • Relentlessly pursue continuous improvement activities to achieve world-class organizational performance to support strategic vision.
  • Lead work kaizen, equipment kaizen, and process kaizen to improve process reliability.
  • Support Autonomous Maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance implementation.
  • Communicate in direct-facing customer conversations regarding process abnormalities and process improvements.
  • Investigate abnormalities and facilitate corrective actions through structured problem solving.
  • Support corporate-wide and site-wide safety and quality initiatives.
  • Initiate Management of Change (MOC) per requirements.
  • Adhere to all Environmental, Health, Safety, Security Requirements covered under Local State and Federal Regulations.
  • Follow all RC14001 guiding principles, policies, procedures and other requirements.
  • Maintain Hazardous waste in accordance with all Local, State and Federal Regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
