The Job/What You'll Do:

Responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry. The CFO will own the financial management of Solari including, but not limited to, financial planning and analysis, strategic decision making across risk management, internal controls, and compliance. In addition, the CFO conducts themselves as a visible leader and an influencer within Solari culture. Curiosity is a mandatory requirement of this role.

Responsibilities:



  • Under the direction of the CEO, plan, organize, implement and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance
  • Evaluate past financial performance and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action
  • Actively participate in the development of the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner
  • Develop and maintain credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and trends to aid the CEO, President, Board of Directors (BOD), and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities
  • Constructive collaboration with the organization's department leaders, ensuring that business decisions are grounded in solid financial criteria
  • Establish and maintain credibility throughout the organization and with the BOD as an effective developer and implementer of solutions to business challenges
  • Lead the development of the annual budget and present a final recommendation to both the Finance Committee and Board of Directors
  • Along with the VP-Finance, continually improve the budget process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets
  • Develop and optimize banking relationships to manage the cash needs of the organization
  • Serve as an advisor from a financial perspective on all contracts from which the organization may enter
  • Evaluate, along with the VP-Finance and Revenue Cycle Director, the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness or the group as well as provide individuals with professional growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals
  • Direct the annual renewal processes for the organization's insurance coverages for property/casualty, cyber and any other necessary insurance coverages
  • Along with the Revenue Cycle Director, monitor and evaluate the work-flow processes and timely submission/reconciliation of claims within the Revenue Cycle Department. Continuously assess the impact from changes in the billing cycle from the outside MCO's (Managed Care Organizations)
  • Active member of the organization's Retirement Committee
  • Act as a "story-teller" of the organization's financial position to non-financial leadership
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:



  • 15+ years of experience in field, Required and 10+ years leadership, Required
  • CPA Certification, Required
  • Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, Required; MBA Preferred
  • Non-profit or healthcare experience, Required - Combination of both highly preferred
  • Billing and claims experience through revenue cycle, Preferred



Will require travel about 10% of the time.

Open to relocation but must reside in Phoenix, AZ area
