Job Title: Student Intern, System Planning

Work Location: North Fort Myers, FL

Hours: Tuesday - 5 hours per day, Wednesday - Friday 8 hours per day.

This is a temporary 3-4 month paid internship. LCEC employee benefits are not available to interns in this position.

Position Summary: This position will assist System Planning personnel on job responsibilities such as retrieving data from BI for load forecast and phase balancing. Intern gets to learn what and why we do what we do in System Planning.

Position Responsibilities:

• Extract data from BI for feeder forecast and phase balancing.
• Perform first phase of the process for PV application review.
• Perform schematic review for PV applications.
• Perform phase balancing analysis.
• Collect data for distribution transformers impedances to calculate average impedance by size.
• Collect and analyze data to develop load diversity factors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Student pursuing an electrical engineering degree regardless of year in electrical engineering program. (Required)
• Junior in electrical engineering program. (Preferred)
