JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Pennsylvania State University's Office of Physical Plant (OPP), Division of Planning, Design, and Properties (PDP), seeks a highly motivated staff Landscape Architect. In this role, you will help guide the design process and collaborate with designers and campus stakeholders to help improve and maintain the high-quality campus landscapes. This position offers an opportunity to shape the built environment at one of the nation's leading universities while contributing to its legacy of excellence. You will be part of a team that includes a senior landscape architect, the University Planner, and the University Architect. You will focus on design projects at University Park, the Commonwealth Campuses, the Hershey Medical Center, and the Dickinson School of Law. This position reports to the University Planner. Key responsibilities include:
Core duties include supporting senior landscape architects in managing aspects of the exterior campus environment through the development of long-range campus planning strategies, siting new buildings, developing site/design guidelines for capital projects, developing plans for small projects, implementing campus site furnishing, planting plans, lighting, and paving systems, advocating responsible stewardship of the land through sustainable design. Supervision will be received from the University Planner and other senior professionals within PDP. Qualifications:
