What You Will Do:
Gannett Fleming Transystems is currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Eastern PA highway team. This hybrid position will be based out of either Valley Forge Office (Audubon, PA), Philadelphia Office or Lehigh Valley Office (Fogelsville, PA). This is an exciting time to join the GF team!

What you'll be challenged to do:
Desired candidate will have experience with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation design and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission policies, standards, and specifications and have proven project experience as a bridge engineer. Successful candidate will possess demonstrated experience in the structural analysis, design and detailed plan preparation of steel and concrete bridges, retaining walls, and/or parking garages and have an understanding of highway/civil/site and geotechnical engineering.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Desired candidate will be expected to coordinate design activities and meetings between staff and other disciplines within Gannett Fleming. The candidate will serve as a structural engineer and task leader for bridge design, culvert design, retaining wall design, as well as for bridge inspection projects. The candidate will work with team members to maintain and improve current client relationships, as well as develop new clients.

Position requires effective time management, analytical and interpersonal skills. Successful candidate will be articulate with a professional presence and solid decision-making, planning and organizational skills. Responsibilities will grow over time to managing/overseeing scopes, schedules and budgets for projects and daily successful operation of all aspects of project delivery including customer interface.

Education | Experience:
What you will bring to our firm:
  • BS in Civil or Structural Engineering is required. Masters Preferred, but not required.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License registered in Pennsylvania or the ability to obtain within 1 year is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the analysis and design of concrete and structural steel bridges (new and rehabilitation) and related simple and complex structures.
What we prefer you bring:
  • Prior experience with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike projects preferred including being well versed in client design policies, standards and specifications.
  • Candidate should be well versed in the use of the AASHTO LRFD and LFD Bridge Design Specifications.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, InRoads or OpenRoads design software is desirable.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Compensation:
The range for this position is salary range is $100,000 - $135,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
