What this job involves -

As Sr. Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and coordinating operations and repairs for all electrical equipment onsite. You will work directly with EE and CE operations teams to write and approve technical MOPs for electrical repairs and maintenance. This role involves project management, customer relations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards in a critical facilities environment.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Managing and completing assigned projects, balancing customer requirements with company strategies
• Determining and facilitating the use of internal and external resources for projects
• Defining customer project requirements and implementing project schedules
• Providing ongoing updates to internal teams and customers regarding project status
• Balancing customer priorities and negotiating compromises among projects
• Overseeing document management processes and ensuring compliance with procedures
• Capturing customer-impacting events for proactive problem management
• Establishing Key Performance Indicators and Key Factors for measurement and verification
• Providing proposals for retrofits, upgrades, and enhancements to existing equipment

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Physical ability to walk job sites in uneven terrain
• Provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed
• Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, overtime as required, and be "on call" 24/7 for emergencies
• Work in potentially hazardous environments with noise, moving parts, electrical and combustion equipment

Desired experience and technical skills

Required:

• Five years of experience in facility management or related field
• Five years of experience in critical electrical industry
• Demonstrated proficiency in Critical Facilities Engineering responsibilities
• Knowledge of Data Center Operations and System configurations
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio) and working knowledge of SharePoint
• Knowledge of building infrastructure systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong team building and training skills

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering Professional affiliations (24x7, IFMA, and Data Center Pulse)
• Journeyman license
• Working knowledge of typical mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems associated with Critical Environments
