Process Safety Management Technician

What you will do:

• Coordinate the Process Safety Management (PSM) program, and OSHA Standards for General Industry regulation 29 CFR 1910 - PSM of Highly Hazardous Materials
• Provide technical support for PSM related issues in the Phosphate division
• Assist in coordination of site wide PSM activities to ensure technical support to the Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, other plant departments
• Advise site management on all PSM issues and recommended solutions
• Participate in the establishment of short and long term PSM program strategies and goals for the continual improvement of site PSM performance
• Assist department employees in the review of all plant process additions, modifications, construction, and operations for compliance with Company PSM policy and regulatory requirements
• Management change and incident reporting/corrective action tracking software program
• Ensure site PHA Facilitators consistently adhere to regulatory and corporate requirements by managing / providing the required training in HazOps, SIL, SRS, and SIS
• Attend PHA team meetings to provide coaching and technical guidance in PSM principles
• Ensure incident investigations are conducted per corporate and site requirements
• Ensure and manage PSM corrective actions developed from Incident Investigations, PHAs, and audits are aimed at reducing or eliminating process and physical hazards
• Produce, advise, review and/or manage all PSM correspondence, record keeping, and reporting documentation for all site PSM process activities
• Manage company PSM program policy changes and revisions and communicating to and/or training employees and contractors, as required
• Stay informed of new or pending PSM regulations and methods of enforcement and inspections by regulatory agencies
• Assist other Phosphate sites to apply PSM principles by providing technical expertise, site PSM policies and procedures and performing PSM focused audits
• Provide technical assistance for personal safety initiatives. Actively supports and involved with all safety programs

What you will bring:

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, and5+ years of experience in the job offered or in a safety technician-related occupation

  
  
• 
  

  Alternatively, 7+ years of experience in the job offered or in a safety technician-related occupation

  
  
• 
  

  5 years technical and problem-solving, planning and execution in industrial manufacturing

  
  
• 
  

  5 years' experience with incident investigations in industrial manufacturing

  
  
• 
  

  Coordinating strategic plans for Process Safety Management with multiple stakeholders

  
  
• 
  

  TapRoot investigations

  
  
• 
  

  Position requires 5-10% domestic and international travel

Compensation & Benefits:

$90,834/annually. This range is estimated forProcess Safety Management Technicianin White Springs, FL. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
