Learning and Development Consultant

We are seeking a Learning and Development Consultant with 5+ years of experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating impactful learning experiences to improve employees' skills. This role will play a key part in developing managers and leaders, and equipping teams with the communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills they need to succeed. The ideal individual will ensure employees receive engaging, effective, and compliant training that supports professional development.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Facilitate Training Sessions: Conduct in-person and virtual workshops for internal staff covering topics such as leadership, communication, conflict resolution, coaching, and change management.
  • Instructional Design: Develop and edit engaging and effective training materials through the design of instructional programs, creating e-learning courses, and developing instructor-led training materials. Utilize instructional design models to structure training programs.
  • Engagement and Participation: Foster an interactive and inclusive learning environment by using a variety of instructional methods, including hands-on demonstrations, role-playing, table group or virtual breakout room activities, and discussions.
  • Assess Training Effectiveness: Monitor participant engagement, evaluate comprehension through assessments or surveys, and adjust training approaches as needed to maximize learning outcomes.
  • Continuous Learning Support: Provide coaching, refresher courses, and ongoing learning opportunities to ensure employees stay updated on best practices and industry standards.


Working Conditions:


  • Office-based with occasional travel to internal offices across the United States to support or deliver training.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, or equivalent work experience in Learning & Development Facilitation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development within a corporate environment, with a strong focus on leadership and interpersonal skill development.
  • Proven experience facilitating workshops and coaching individuals and teams.
  • Instructional design skills with the ability to adapt content for different learning modalities.
  • Strong organizational, consulting and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, building relationships with stakeholders, and maintaining great relationships.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and modern training technologies.
  • Experience using Articulate is a plus.
  • Certifications in leadership assessments or coaching tools (e.g., MBTI, DISC, Insights Discovery, EQ-i, Situational Leadership, Clifton Strengths) are a plus.
