- The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating equipment used in the manufacturing of products.
- The operator will work with other employees to meet or exceed product quality and production rate expectations.
- Adheres to company safety policies and programs such as Personal Protective Equipment.
- Equipment, Incident/Injury Reporting, Hazard Communication, and Labeling.
- Reads and interprets blueprints.
- Ensures that goals and expectations are met and the product is being developed on schedule.
- Locate and acquire needed materials for jobs.
- Cut raw materials to correct lengths.
- Close and move jobs on the computer.
- Ensures equipment is in optimum working order and brings issues to team leaders' attention when aware of machine interruption.
- Maintains confidentiality of customer information 100% of the time.
- Keeps a neat and organized work station for safety and efficiency, 100% of the time.
- Form working relationships within the team and treat each other with respect.
- Corresponds and collaborates with team members.
- Performs basic troubleshooting, machine errors, and spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality.
- Maintains documentation and paperwork to include accurate counts of parts.
- Notifies supervisor of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Help train new employees as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in WaterJet, including medical device or regulated manufacturing.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Water jet with CNC machining.
- Ability to use calipers and other measuring tools.
- Basic understanding of the differences in sheet metal.
- Detail-oriented with an ability to solve problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine set-up and operations.
Additional Information:
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and sometimes perform team lifts of up to 75 pounds.
- Light physical activity, performing non-strenuous day-to-day activities of an administrative nature.
- Minimal lifting (75 lbs.), bending, pushing/pulling, crawling, climbing, balancing, and prolonged standing.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors, judge distance and space relationships (visualize objects of multiple dimensions), and adjust the eye's lens to bring an object into sharp focus (microscope).
