The Nurse Manager of the Cardiovascular Services - non-invasive supervises, coordinates and participates in variety of diagnostic and non-invasive procedures performed on both inpatients and outpatients in the non-invasive Cardiovascular department.



Responsibilities

    Assists physicians in Cardiology care.
  • Oversees the non-invasive Cardiovascular Service line Department and patient programs.
  • Supervises and provides assistance in all patient care.
  • Coordinates evaluation and care of patient pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post procedure, including supervision of education and observation for untoward effects.
  • Assists in policy development in accordance to JCAHO and DHSS standards.
  • Compiles, analyzes and reports ongoing data required for standards of care, as well as statistical and performance initiatives.
  • Assists in determining fiscal requirements and monitors budgetary operational expenses, revenues and supply inventory.
  • Responsible for department work schedule, delegation of assignments, and proper staffing levels.
  • Assists in personnel actions including performance appraisals, vacation scheduling and other duties incidental to work.
  • Develops and implements a professional growth plan for each staff member by enforcing attendance at appropriate in-service training sessions,encouraging staff to attend outside seminars and assigning duties to maximize development.
  • Achieves desired results for all unit specific core measure indicators. Develops and implements performance.
  • Monitors nursing staff compliance and implements performance improvement initiatives regarding documentation of pain assessment intervention,follow-up, re-assessment and education.
  • Plans and facilitates unit based education to maintain and enhance the clinical competency of the nursing staff.
  • Establishes and implements standards of care based on evidenced-based nursing practice and evaluates patient care through the application of the nursing process and compares the delivery of the care to the established standard(s).
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the range of care needed based on the age of the patients cared for. Demonstrates knowledge of growth,development and/or adult health throughout the life span as appropriate to the job performed.
  • Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the needs of the age of the patients cared for.
  • Provides considerate respectful care focused upon the patients' individual needs.
  • Affirms the patient's right to make decisions regarding his/her medical care, including the decision to discontinue treatment, to the extent permitted bylaw.
  • Assists the patient in the exercise of his/her rights and informs the patient of any responsibilities incumbent upon him/her in the exercise of those rights.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required
  • Masters' degree must obtain within 3 years from date of hire (or internal transfer) as a condition of employment.
  • Clinical cardiology, cardiac rehab or related experience for at least 3 years.
  • Specialty Certification preferred
  • RN License / New Jersey Required
  • BLS/ACLS Required
  • BLS Certification Required
  • Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.

Compensation Range: $117,000 - $198,900 annually

The compensation above reflects the established range from CentraState Healthcare System (CSHS) for this position at the time the job was posted. CSHS considers many factors to determine compensation, including education, experience, skills, licenses, certification, and training. As such, team member compensation may fall outside this range.

Additionally, the compensation range reflects base salary and does not include extra shift rates or incentives tied to quality, productivity, etc., as applicable.

The benefits outlined also reflect CSHS' policy at the time of posting. Benefits as are made available to other similarly situated team members of CSHS, although participation is at all times in accordance with and subject to the eligibility and other provisions of such plans and programs. CSHS may modify its benefits plans or programs at any time.
