About REFG

The Real Estate Financing Group (REFG) within Capital Solutions Group is a leader in commercial real estate lending and warehouse financing. REFG has one of the largest commercial real estate warehouse businesses in the market and is a top-ranked CRE CLO booker runner. REFG's Warehouse team is responsible for the sourcing and structuring of new warehouse facilities, underwriting / pricing warehouse assets (including but not limited to new floating-rate CRE loan originations, secondary and/or NPL purchases, and seasoned/currently securitized positions) contextual to the current CRE capital markets, and asset-managing existing warehouse facilities as well as collateral. The Warehouse team is looking for an experienced Associate to join the team to support the ongoing growth of the business.

Responsibilities



  • Underwrite and value transitional CRE mortgage loans across all property types (e.g., industrial, multifamily, office, retail, hospitality, etc.)
  • Manage term sheet negotiations for new potential warehouse facilities
  • Read and understand core suite of operative documents for warehouse facilities (MRA, Fee Letter, Guaranty)
  • Prepare materials and memos for client discussions, deal evaluation, and internal committees
  • Interact with clients on a daily basis to screen / pledge new assets to existing warehouse facilities
  • Perform in-depth property, market, sector, and borrower due diligence and research
  • Coordinate with REFG's Credit, Capital Markets, and Securitization teams as well as external parties such as due diligence providers, consultants, and legal counsel throughout the warehouse lifecyle


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of work experience, ideally in investment banking, real estate, credit origination, or other relevant roles
  • Track record of strong academic achievement
  • Strong modeling and analytical skills; experience with Argus is not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external audiences
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple transactions under deadlines
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to results
  • Genuine interest in real estate and credit origination


Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$225000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
