Group/Division

The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

FleetPack Software Product Manager

KLA Services is looking for a Software Product Manager to partner with Marketing to guide the software engineering team with a product vision, roadmap and prioritized list of features for FleetPack. FleetPack consists of a suite of applications designed to harness the data from KLA tools in the semiconductor fabrication plant or "fab" to proactively provide predictive maintenance in the KLA fleet of tools. The Software Product Manager will collaborate directly and continuously with several small software engineering teams with team members located in Ann Arbor, MI; Milpitas, CA; and Chennai, India.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a balance between business goals, user desirability and technical feasibility.
  • Work closely with Marketing to understand the product vision and break it down into a roadmap and actionable backlog of features for the software engineering team.
  • Work with UX Designer to integrate the end-user perspective into the roadmap.
  • Work hands-on with the software engineering teams to prioritize and plan software releases that meet marketing requirements and optimize business value and impact.
  • Collaborate with software engineering, UX/UI design, and marketing teams to ensure product alignment and successful execution including feedback loops like demos and user testing.
  • Participate in scrum meetings, planning, reviews and retrospectives.
  • Support marketing with clarifying questions and feedback on product documentation, including product requirements documents (PRDs) and market requirements documents (MRDs).
  • Support the software engineering teams with questions about the vision, roadmap, features.
  • Mentor others on iterative software development and product management techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of product management experience or 2+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years of product management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or business.
  • Skilled at defining and prioritizing product roadmap and features.
  • 2+ years working with agile software methodologies (Scrum, eXtreme Programming, Kanban).
  • Demonstrated success delivering a product to market with an Agile software engineering team.
  • Advocate for lean, agile and human centered design practices.
  • Ability to collaborate well with software engineers, UX/UI designers, and marketing.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to navigate ambiguity and complex decision making.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Leadership and influence skills to drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Experience with Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT).
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
