Assistant Professor ~ Creative Arts Therapy

The Creative Arts Therapy Department of Nazareth University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2025. The department seeks candidates committed to teaching excellence at a comprehensive institution that supports both liberal arts curricula and professional programs. Responsibilities will include teaching art therapy courses, conducting scholarly endeavors, and providing service to the department, college, and community. Additional responsibilities may include oversight and management of the on-campus art therapy clinic as well as being asked to teach courses in the summer sessions.

The Department of Creative Arts Therapy resides in the new William and Sheila Konar Creative Arts Therapy wing of the York Wellness and Rehabilitation Institute ( YWRI), a state-of-the-art clinic space, complete with observation rooms, providing on-campus art, music and play therapy for community residents. The YWRI supports the commitment of the College of Interprofessional Health and Human Services to interprofessional education, clinical training, and research. The art therapy program at Nazareth University is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs ( www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of The Accreditation Council for Art Therapy Education ( ACATE).
