Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Laboratory/Technical Assistant Seasonal for the Rutgers Urban and Civic Informatics ( RUCI) Lab within the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Provides leading assistance with statistical modeling and machine learning on transportation and smart cities analysis.
  • Provides GIS and programming support primarily in R for advanced statistical modeling and Python, where necessary.
  • Carries out literature review and develop policy and planning insights.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Master's degree in data science or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Certifications/Licenses
Preferred Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of advanced statistical models and their theoretical underpinnings.
  • Understanding of the literature in transportation and mobility analysis.
  • Professional experience in R, geospatial tools, and data management in Python.
