What you'll be doing...

You will ensure compliance with company and legal environmental requirements by using company programs, the Code of Conduct, and federal, state, and local regulatory requirements as a framework. You will be responsible for managing regional environmental activities, including audits, monitoring compliance programs, interfacing with key client organizations and regulatory agencies on behalf of the corporation, and monitoring changes to environmental laws and regulations and their impact on the organization. Additionally, you will complete the preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental documents. You will travel as needed to ensure adequate field oversight, meet with clients and peer organizations, and conduct environmental incident investigations as required.

What we're looking for...

Ability to evaluate compliance with environmental issues and circumstances. Should have implementation and oversight experience for environmental-related disciplines, with proven field experience and regulatory knowledge/interaction-excellent knowledge of environmental working principles and requirements.

Demonstrated strong collaboration and communication skills and strong writing, research, and analytical skills. Results-driven, detail-oriented, able to anticipate needs and issues, and proactively identify appropriate solutions-strong ability to work independently and multi-task with the ability to maintain confidential information.

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.

  • Experience in environmental compliance and regulatory laws.

  • Experience with Google Suite (docs, sheets, slides, etc.).

  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

  • Willing to accept other US locations for this hybrid role.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in an EHS-related discipline

  • Experience in the telecommunications industry.

  • Environmental counseling experience.

  • Environmental certifications (PG, REM, etc.).

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated collaboration skills.

Where you'll be working

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $86,000.00 - $150,000.00. The annual salary range for the Maryland location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $86,000.00 - $150,000.00.
