Aon Is looking for an Institutional Investment Custody Sales / Business Development

Aon is a data driven global organization. As part of an industry-leading institutional investment operations sales effort, your impact as a Sales colleague includes both current client growth and new business acquisition within the investment services industry, covering North America! This position can be classified as working remotely.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing a direct sales approach, focused on both current Aon relationships outside of the Investment group, along with a focus on non-Aon clients in all sectors, including asset owners, asset managers, insurance and E&F clients
  • Prospecting and outreach to a develop a deep pipeline for business development is essential to success; determination, perseverance, confidence and organization are required
  • Interface with prospects including the CxO level spanning emerging companies to established organizations, proactively developing and maintaining mutually productive relationships
  • Focused, active listening skills with innovation in solving to client and prospect objectives/needs
  • Communicate efficiently with internal teams including sales colleagues, operations, actuarial and the consulting group when appropriate

Qualifications:

  • Superior professional selling and account management skills, negotiation and closing via phone and online environment
  • 5+ years of institutional investment operations and or sales experience and new business success in a solution/services selling environment
  • Home office/workspace set up for uninterrupted daily execution of calls and video interactions; virtual work locations available for short or long-term depending on proximity
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills to establish and meet goals and daily priorities independently
  • Prior use of Salesforce and online meeting presentation tools for selling (WebEx); Outlook efficiency and Excel experience essential
  • Ability to actively listen and act autonomously on a prospect/clients' questions, goals and objectives to provide superior service
  • Professionally seasoned verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player required - Internal cooperative operations team environment encourages goal-oriented collaboration among team members with focus on both individual and team achievement

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or other related degree or equivalent

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $138,000 to $198,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

Aon offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and regular part-time colleagues, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions; an employee stock purchase plan; consideration for long-term incentive awards at Aon's discretion; medical, dental and vision insurance. This role does not accrue vacation. Rather, this role is eligible to take paid time off at the discretion of the employee and management in accordance with Company policy and practices.
