Application Window Open date: May 5, 2025 Next review date: Wednesday, Jun 4, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Wednesday, Jun 4, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Environmental Cardiology and Vascular Biology (ECVB) Laboratory in the Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, invites applications for a position at the level of Assistant Project Scientist. The candidate will study the pulmonary, cardiometabolic and oncological toxicology of air pollution, including ambient particulate matter, woodsmoke particles as well as electronic cigarettes. Experience with aerosol science and characterization of exposure aerosols and constituents is required. The research activities will involve biochemical, tissue culture, and molecular biology techniques. It will also include in-vivo experiments with genetically engineered mice. Strong communication skills including data presentation and preparation of manuscripts is required. A Ph.D degree is required.
