Intake Lead Clinican Opportunity - Full Time

The Intake Lead Clinician generates new patient intakes and ensures potential patients complete their initial intake appointments with a clinician. Evaluates the mental healthcare needs of clients and determines eligibility for services.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to intake calls and completes admissions paperwork daily.
  • Conducts interviews individually or in families to assess their situation and determine types of services required
  • Tracks all inquiries and resolves issues as it pertains to the intake process
  • Collects data to help with the referral process. Follows up on referrals by contacting referral sources to collect data
  • Communicates with referral sources including, family members, legal system, psychiatrist, primary care physicians, and other treatment facilities
  • Maintains schedule for filing court paperwork and hearings. Works closely with court personnel to maintain good relationships
  • Participates as an active member of the interdisciplinary team
  • Ensures that all intake forms are properly completed and filed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology or Human Services Field from an accredited college/university OR Licensed RN in Massachusetts
  • LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field. Supervisor experience preferred
