Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY The Human Resources Director directs the development, implementation, and coordination of policies and programs covering employment, placement, orientation, training, employee relations, compensation, organizational development, health benefits, and employee services. The Human Resources Direct is also responsible for providing overall human resources generalist support for the facility, which includes maintaining all personnel records and files, conducting employee benefits and 401(k) enrollment meetings, responding to insurance and unemployment compensation correspondence, and organizing all employee activities and in-services. All other duties as assigned. Position reports directly to the CEO. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's Degree is required; Master's or BBA Degree with Major in Human Resource Management is preferred, or related field as deemed appropriate by the CEO. SHRM, SPHR or PHR certification is preferred. Experience: A minimum of five (5) years' experience in Human Resources. Prefer at least two years' experience working in Human Resources in a healthcare setting. Previous Supervisory or Director-Level experience is highly desirable. Additional Requirements: Must have good understanding of HR related Joint Commission Standards/DHS and be familiar with the Joint Commission Survey process. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Good general computer knowledge, in Word and Excel, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and the ability to prepare various HR reports. Must have understanding and be able to apply applicable state and federal labor laws, benefits, wage/salary administration, employee relations, and workers compensation. Requires leadership, creativity, high energy, organizational, supervisory, administrative abilities, and problem-solving skills. Also, requires verbal/written, interpersonal and customer service skills. Requires ability to exercise independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must be able to maintain confidentiality as it relates to sensitive hospital and employee issues. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
