About The School of Human Services

The School of Human Services offers a unique combination of undergraduate and graduate programs, with preparation for exciting careers in behavior analysis, counseling, exercise science, health promotion and education, public health, school psychology, and sport administration.

Job Overview

The School of Human Services is seeking qualified and enthusiastic professionals and educators to fill adjunct positions. Classes needing adjunct instruction are offered during the day, the evening, and online. We are looking for highly qualified individuals who have content expertise in their disciplines, appropriate degrees and training relative to the courses to be taught, are passionate about sharing their knowledge, who are reliable, dedicated to high standards for instruction, committed to working collaboratively with programs to meet instructional objectives, and able to work independently.

Essential Functions

  • On a part-time basis, conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses in the School of Human Services.
  • Course instruction consistent with accreditation standards.
  • Grading assignments, monitoring student participation.
  • Adherence to program and college policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining communication with program faculty, staff, and students.

Minimum Requirements

  • Academic degree in appropriate discipline and/or relevant professional credentials.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety ofbackgrounds.
  • Candidates should also have computer and internet literacy and be comfortable with online instructional methods.

Required Education

  • Academic degree in an appropriate disciple and prior teaching experience.

Required Experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject.
  • Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

Additional Qualifications Considered

Master's degree, and/or professional credentials, and/or professional experience in the course area that will be taught.

Graduate instruction requires a degree advanced beyond the level of the course.

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
