The Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain (MIDB) is dedicated to fostering the healthy brain function of children across the lifespan with the mission to set and maintain a healthy trajectory for all children toward positive life outcomes through early neurobehavioral and mental health assessment, innovative targeted interventions, informed policy-making, compassionate child-advocacy, and community education. The MIDB's mission of basic and clinical research in the field of neurobehavioral development is supported by a multi-specialty clinic and multiple research hubs including: Analytics, Informatics, Neuroimaging, Center for Neurobehavioral Development, Translational Neuroscience, Neuromodulation, TeleOutreach, Clinic Research Integration, and Community Engagement and Education.

The MIDB is seeking to hire a part-time student (20 hours/week) to contribute to the betterment of research and clinic operations.

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Research Administrative Director, this part-time position will provide a broad range of support to the operations of both research and clinical arms at MIDB. Job duties will include:

  • Assist in evaluating and refining staff effort tracking processes, including time allocation and reporting mechanisms.
  • Support the development and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to project tracking and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with team leads to gather input and feedback on current effort tracking challenges and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation strategy for adopting a new project tracking database.
  • Prepare summaries, presentations, and process maps to communicate proposed solutions and changes.
  • Conduct benchmarking or background research on best practices for project finance systems in similar organizations.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with related experience.
  • Has completed at least 2 semesters towards an undergraduate degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed undergraduate courses in finance.
  • Demonstrated interest in learning more about healthcare administration.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $16-$18/hr; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
