POSITION SUMMARY

Constellis is hiring a Director of Business Development to be part of a dynamic and growing team located in Herndon, VA.

This position will report to the Chief Strategy Officer and will work with the Corporate Senior Leadership Team and Business Unit Presidents. You will work on corporate focus programs of strategic value to the corporation. You will be responsible for developing BD campaigns that include comprehensive strategies for customer engagement, teaming, solution development, stakeholder engagement, win plans, capture plans, key personnel acquisition, subjection matter expertise, investment planning and budget management to accomplish the highest probability of win.

The Director will oversee cross-functional teams supporting key projects and will provide strategic leadership and subject matter expertise throughout the annual strategic planning and operating plan development processes. Additionally, the Director of Business Development will lead and coordinate company-wide functional support to develop differentiated, compliant, and competitive proposals.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Mentors and advises capture teams across the business.
  • Develops and manages capture budgets
  • Manages resource plans to ensure appropriate human capital is being applied
  • Develops and implements effective win strategies and capture plans for specific opportunities
  • Moves assigned opportunities through the Step Review Process
  • Coordinates development and implementation of communications/marketing campaigns supporting capture efforts
  • Prepares and oversees implementation of effective customer call plans
  • Manages customer and stakeholder engagement
  • Builds capture teams and assigns capture responsibilities across the company in coordination with functional area leads (Contracts, Pricing, Finance, HR, etc.)
  • Prepares detailed competitor analyses
  • Identifies qualified teaming partners
  • Develops pricing strategies in coordination with the Pricing Manager
  • Supports development of all proposal volumes, including the cost volume narrative
  • Participates in the development and execution of all periodic reviews
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and other practices set forth by upper management
  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelors of Arts (BA) /Bachelors of Science (BS) is required for this role
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • 5+ years capture management experience
  • 5+ years proposal development experience
  • 5+ years of program management, project management, or operations experience preferred.
  • Must be experienced in leading and winning US government captures (>$25M) in one or more of the following areas: international security operations; technical services, logistics, construction, infrastructure, operations and maintenance and Intelligence Community
  • Must be familiar with capture tools (GovWin IQ, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Proficient with gov't opportunity databases (eSAM, FPDS, etc.)

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday standard core hours, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
