DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Research Analyst, you will be at the forefront of investigating and analyzing healthcare trends, policy innovations, and marketplace dynamics. Under the direction of the Director of Strategic Planning and Partnerships, you will transform complex data into actionable insights that drive organizational strategy and improve healthcare access for Pennsylvanians. Your responsibilities will include leading independent research projects on healthcare market trends, population demographics, and ACA policy innovations. Through a variety of methods, you will conduct research while collaborating with diverse stakeholders throughout the organization. A key aspect of your role will be creating compelling data visualizations and comprehensive reports that tell the story behind the numbers. You will have opportunities to present findings to senior leadership and external partners, while also supporting cross-organizational strategic initiatives. Additionally, you will maintain research repositories, manage project tracking systems, and prepare materials for Pennie's Board of Directors and Advisory Council.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Periodic travel in and out of Pennsylvania may be required.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $70,005.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years of experience conducting rigorous policy and market research for the planning of organizational strategic policies or initiatives; and
- Two years of experience using methodologically sound data analysis and producing data visualizations and research reports for executive leadership; and
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Policy, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent education and experience).
Additional Requirements:
- You must reside in or be willing to relocate to Pennsylvania and maintain residency for the entirety of your employment with the agency.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience with public health and health insurance research
- Experience with software for surveys and data visualizations
