DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will engage in various clerical and office tasks with a focus on accounting responsibilities, including invoice processing and budget monitoring. You will take the lead in reconciling invoices for all county purchases, which entails liaising with the comptroller and vendors to address any issues that arise. Additionally, you may be called upon to perform technical duties as needed to support the operations of the County Maintenance Organization in Fayette County. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Uniontown.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
- An Associate Degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits of accounting.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
