Meet the Team

The Cisco AI Software & Platform Group incubates and delivers Generative AI based solutions to reinvent Cisco's existing Products and how customers interact with them. Our Group is also introducing new offerings that help customers roll out Generative AI at scale while doing so responsibly. Ultimately, we are doing so through internal platforms that unlock the benefits of this technology for Cisco teams and partners across our Security, Enterprise Networking, Collaboration and Splunk portfolios.

Your Impact

As a Distinguished Engineer, you will be guiding the AI Team's engineering business and senior management on number of technical issues. You will work with industry boards and/or councils and develop and define next-generation technologies with favorable business impact for Cisco's broad product portfolio. This role will help lead teams to drive engineering strategy across multiple strategic domains including standards, open-source, research, and intellectual property.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience at guiding teams through the orchestration of large, high-impact projects, building large scale distributed systems.
  • Proven experience in guiding engineering leaders with most significant technical and product challenges.
  • Bachelor's degree +15 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • You'll bring forth a successful track record of navigating the complexities of large-scale production environments, ensuring the seamless integration of highly distributed data.
  • As a strategic leader, you'll excel in making critical technical decisions, crafting roadmaps and vision that drive the success of ground-breaking projects in application to the Network & Security.
  • Proficient in harmonizing the efforts of multi-functional teams, including researchers, data scientists, network engineers and infrastructure teams, they build room to collaborate between business goals and technology innovation.
  • Strong experience in the security and/or networking domain
