Sr Technical Trainer -Beverage Batching
A Sr. Technical Trainer - Beverage Batching is responsible for developing technical training material suitable for existing and future batching technologies. This position facilitates the transfer of knowledge to those working in operator level and maintenance positions. This position will support projects focused on the design and delivery of training for our vendor batching equipment. Job Description Essential Functions Training Delivery
- Demonstrate technical expertise, and facilitation, of training content for Batching equipment in Niagara's Cold Fill, Carbonated Soft Drink, Hot Fill, and Aseptic facilities
- Supply manufacturing sites with a reliable resource of knowledge, utilizing technical skills developed through OEM training, and firsthand experience with batching equipment from manufacturers such as GEA (preferred), Adcor, Krones, Tetra Pak, or Fluidor.
- Conduct pre/post training assessments and on-the-job certifications
- Provide on the job support and coaching to plant team members through validation training
Instructional Design
- Manage the development of instructor-led courses and ongoing support materials, in partnership with existing instructional design team. Propose innovative and effective training methods
- Ensure training materials are in line with overall training strategy and approach
- Identify plant needs and create job aids and documentation to support according to defined standards
- Support periodic training needs assessment to ensure training needs are being met
- Collaborate with other Technical Services groups to write, or work with vendors to develop, written and demonstration-based Skills Assessments to determine baseline knowledge of all Niagara technical personnel
- Teach equipment-specific root-cause troubleshooting methods. Expert in problem solving equipment and training challenges
- Lead in the curriculum design for training programs, activities including instructor led, online, and alternative. This person will assist in the responsibilities of the team for developing and writing content, both traditional and e-learning training and materials
Project Management
- Communicate effectively with training stakeholders and plant management regarding scheduling needs and learner outcomes
- Participate and lead in data collection and project tracking to align with team KPIs. Seek ways to improve response times, assessment scores, and other KPIs through implementing new processes
- Collaborate internally and externally of our team to complete projects. Acts as a subject matter expert for technical information
- Manage schedule based on training requests and business needs
- Take a proactive approach to project management updates to anticipate new equipment and devise training approach. Communicate onsite process or method deviations back to training team. Assist in developing corrective actions at an early stage
- Coach other trainers to enhance their technical and training skills with opportunities for leadership development
- Make decisions in high-pressure situations and properly escalate as needed
Technical Understanding
- Ability to explain function and troubleshoot batching equipment including but not limited to:
- Mixers
- Super Sack Systems
- Batching Tanks and Proportioners
- Concentrate Addition
- Valve Clusters
- Strong understanding of automation for the batching systems (GEA Codex (preferred), GEA Cube (preferred), Tetra Pak PlantMaster, Phantom, etc)
- Apply instructional design skills learned in ATD (Association for Talent Development) Certification (completed within first year) to build out new training materials and supporting documentation
- Apply facilitation skills learned in Train the Trainer Certification (completed within first year) to deliver training. Complete Advanced Train the Trainer course
- Adjust training content to meet needs of diverse audiences
- Confident in skills in the following platforms: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook. Smartsheet experience not required, but preferred

- 6 Years - Experience in Beverage processing or manufacturing environment
- 4 Years - Experience in Batching Equipment Training
- 4 Years - Experience in beverage process engineering
