How You'll Perform the Role
This position is for a hands-on Engineering, Maintenance, & Reliability Leader.
The Maintenance Planner Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and planning maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and machinery. They will schedule preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, and manage spare parts inventory to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance. The Maintenance Planner will also assist in implementing maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency. Pay range- $28-$29 per hour.
- The coordination of installation and repair of all machinery / equipment.
- Organizing and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and production departments to develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for equipment and machinery used in manufacturing.
- Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance tasks to ensure regular inspections, lubrications, and calibrations are performed according to the maintenance plan.
- Plan and schedule equipment repairs and maintenance shutdowns, coordinating with the production team to minimize production disruptions.
- Controlling and improving the plant's repair / maintenance spending.
- Maintaining an effective maintenance management system and repair parts inventory control system through PMC.
- Generate and manage work orders for maintenance activities, ensuring accurate documentation of maintenance tasks, materials used, and labor hours.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians to ensure work orders are completed within scheduled timelines.
- Maintain a record of completed work orders, including details of maintenance activities performed, materials used, and maintenance costs.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to implement condition-based monitoring programs to identify and address equipment performance issues proactively.
- Monitor equipment performance data, to identify potential maintenance needs or optimization opportunities.
- Assist in analyzing equipment performance data and recommend maintenance strategies or modifications to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Participate in maintenance strategy development, collaborating with the maintenance team and management to identify improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the implementation of maintenance best practices, standard operating procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Providing technical recommendations and implementations for continuous improvement in plant production
- Assist in evaluating and implementing new technologies or tools that can enhance maintenance planning and coordination processes.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Technical Discipline).
- 5-10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical, electrical and manufacturing process skills/experience.
- Must have experience supporting and leading Lean manufacturing activities.
- Analytical skills and understanding of problem-solving techniques/tools.
- Data-driven, disciplined, objective and detail oriented.
- Strong communication skills. Demonstrated ability to act as a business partner, "see the big picture," and work through ambiguity and change.
- Advanced computer knowledge with MS Office applications (Excel, Access, etc.) and other computer tools
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
