What Territory Management contributes to Cardinal Health Direct Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and/or existing customers to meet individual and organizational sales objectives.
Territory Management is responsible for cold calling, prospecting and building relationships that will increase account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction within a specified product line, business segment and/or geography. Focus areas will include driving new business as well as increasing penetration in existing accounts. Summary The Regional Sales Director-Specialty Medical Products is responsible for leading a team of sales specialists in the South Central who are tasked to drive revenue and profitability to new and existing customers. They accomplish this through product and service differentiation. This leader will direct a team of eight and closely collaborate with eleven regional sales directors who each lead a team of similar size and aligned goals. South Central for our Specialty Sales Division includes the geographies of North Carolina, Upstate South Carolina, Virginia, Southwestern Ohio, and Northwestern Kentucky. Responsibilities
- Manages a team of Specialty Products Representatives to drive product and services growth and product mix throughout an assigned region.
- Meet or exceed assigned quotas for the region.
- Coordinate and support Specialty Products Representatives to meet or exceed account expectations (through coaching, field rides, etc.)
- Build and maintain long-term trusted advisor relationships with key decision makers and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct performance evaluations of Specialty Products Representatives and provide them with ongoing coaching (e.g., setting account strategies, selling products and services)
- Provide coaching, training, and development to Specialty Product Representatives
- Analyzes customer profiles; creates action plans to maximize customer satisfaction and improve financial results.
- Prepare regular reports and analysis for management including business plans, customer correspondence, succession plans, monthly status/variance reports and human resources documentation.
- Comply with and implement Company policies, programs, and procedures on a consistent basis and on a timely basis.
- Acts as a change agent by leading change and helping others to understand and implement change to ensure business objectives are met.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested to ensure sales goals and objectives are met.
- Works with regional sales director team leaders to develop specific territory management objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 5+ years of healthcare sales experience highly preferred, specifically selling to large healthcare systems/hospitals.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience highly preferred.
- Proven leadership capabilities including driving a culture of accountability and positivity.
- Ability to retain customers and ensure high customer satisfaction rating.
- Ability to motivate and manage a geographically dispersed labor force and develop talent.
- Ability to travel 50%+ of time.
- Excellent planning, forecasting, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Must be located near major airport (under 1 hour travel time).
- Customer/Vendor credentialing is required (this may include vaccinations). More details will be provided if you are selected for an interview.
