The purpose of the Building Automation and Controls Manager is crucial in leading the growth of controls capabilities throughout the greater Atlanta metro. This position will be responsible for leading supportive resources and others to meet or exceed the needs of the district. Location: Onsite role based out of the Marietta Service Office with occasional local travel to customers and job sites

What you will do:



  • Business Development: Continuously listen to the controls needs of the District and make recommendations on additional resources to continue rapid growth. Communicate available resources and progress regularly to the District and Region. Provide resources and support to overcome growth challenges at the Districts Service offices.
  • Project Development: Provide direct control project development and service sales support to sales members throughout the district as needed. Prepare cost estimates and prices quotations on new work and coordinates the preparation of cost estimates on project continuation. Coordinate the development interface with project management and operations team to assure customer satisfaction. As Daikin continues to scale the controls business, coach and mentor additional Controls Project Developers to meet or exceed Daikin and industry standards.
  • Engineering: Direct Engineering team members to develop products and solutions that meet the current and future needs of our District Service office. Communicate regularly with peers within the Region or other Districts to promote a consistent deliverable to our customers. Coach and mentor Engineering team members to meet or exceed Daikin and industry standards.
  • Vendor Relationships: Work directly with vendor partners to ensure best available products and consistent pricing for the District office. Identify and negotiate with addition vendors to meet or exceed the product and training needs of our Engineering and District Service offices.
  • Training: Identify and communicate available internal and external professional development courses for all Controls team members. Promote a culture of continuous improvement for Controls personnel by challenging individuals to take on professional development training courses when available.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related experience or equivalent work experience
  • 6-8+ years commercial/industrial HVAC and Controls experience, Niagara experience is a plus
  • 4+ years people management experience
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Familiarity with building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.)

The typical salary for this position ranges from $113,800 - $188,300 plus a 20-25% annual bonus plan in GA. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
