Primary Purpose:


The primary purpose of this position is to effectively and safely work in the ZAC cell producing necessary components and performing production related duties while meeting production levels and maintaining good quality.

Job Duties:

Level 2




  • Demonstrate safe behavior and be active with safety suggestions.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the ZAC process and what that process entails.
  • ZAC 2.0 base assembly at a production rate of 550 parts per hour while meeting quality standards.
  • ZAC 2.0 regular stiffener assembly at a production rate of 70 parts per hour while meeting quality standards.
  • ZAC 2.0 side lite stiffener assembly at a production rate of 105 parts per hour while meeting quality standards.
  • Able to operate and meet production levels on the ZAC 2.0 cap laser.



Level 3




  • Perform all level 2 related tasks effectively and consistently.
  • Demonstrate a solid and complete understanding of the ZAC process and duties.
  • Be able to keep up with production and fluently move from one task to the next.
  • Assist with training and have a good eye for quality.
  • Maintain good attendance.
  • ZAC 2.0 base assembly at a consistent production rate of 600 parts per hour while meeting quality standards.
  • ZAC 2.0 regular stiffener assembly at a production rate of 85 parts per hour while meeting quality standards.
  • ZAC 2.0 side lite stiffener assembly at a production rate of 120 parts per hour while meeting quality standards.
  • ZAC 2.0 cap assembly at a production rate of 120 parts per hour while meeting quality standards.
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of the ZAC 2.0 cap laser (program changes, understanding of different programs, etc.) while being able to consistently meet production levels.
  • Able to effectively produce ZAC 2.0 kits.
  • Understand how to manually apply ZAC 2.0 stiffeners and understand the quality expectations of this task.
  • Understanding of the ZAC 2.0 stiffener machine and able to effectively run this machine and keep up with customer demand.

Level 4




  • Consistently performs all level 2 and level 3 responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates effective and full working knowledge of the ZAC cell.
  • Fully capable of performing all ZAC task while maintaining production levels.
  • Willing & able to fully train new or inexperienced employees in all ZAC 2.0 related tasks.
  • Must be a strong team player, consistently demonstrating a cooperative attitude.
  • Performs ZAC 2.0 cap assembly production at a rate of 150 parts per hour while maintaining quality standards and having a full working knowledge of the machine, including change overs.
  • Understands the ZAC 2.0 patio procedure and all related setups while showing ability to assembly and fully inspect patio sills.
  • Demonstrates ability to setup and notch all required patio caps on the ZAC 2.0 patio notch machine.
  • Fully understands the parts involved with both single and patio ZAC 2.0 kits while showing ability to meet production levels and effectively produce both style kits.
  • Full understanding and complete knowledge of the ZAC 2.0 stiffener machine and packing process, including bulk pack and carton pack options.



Job Analysis

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Entry level position. Does not require previous knowledge, will receive training to achieve desired level.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Approximately 6 months of work experience is required to become skilled in all phases of the job. Must be capable of reading a tape measure (8th 16th 32nd) while performing simple addition and subtraction. Must have the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing due to accountability of production reporting.

INITIATIVE & INGENUITY: Work priorities are determined by updated production board, line leaders or supervisor instructions. The crew member is responsible for quality checking the raw materials and sub-assemblies frequently. Must be capable of working with other crew members while following verbal and written instructions.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Under specific direction of Assembly line or department leader, Assembly Supervisor and Plant Manager, where goals and objectives are established. Coordinate work with other crew members. Report any material handler deficiencies. Advise leads/supervisor of unusual circumstances as needed. Performs other production related duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR ERRORS: Errors may be serious involving inventory and will become apparent in normal production runs.

CONTACT WITH OTHERS: Regular contact with crewmembers, other employees, lead people, and staff members where improper handling may affect results. Clear, concise communication skills are important.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Flow of work and character of duties involve performing hand motions and capable of standing for the entire shift. Normal and corrected hearing and vision are necessary with manual coordination. Frequent walking, some bending, twisting, stooping, climbing stairs, and lifting of up to approximately 35 lbs. are required. Must have good hand eye coordination and be mechanically adaptable to using hand tools.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT: In order to advance, this position will be required to become capable of limited troubleshooting of all equipment on the line and a complete understanding of the ZAC processes. Damage to this equipment would result in a loss for the company.

WORKING CONDITIONS/HAZARDS: Exposed to normal factory environment (wood dust and aluminum) with no factors or hazards present to a disagreeable extent. Must be able to withstand heat up to 95 degrees.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES: Must adhere to all safety rules and regulations as specified in the Endura's Safety Manual. This responsibility necessitates the wearing of proper personal protective equipment (i.e. safety glasses & ear plugs) by each crewmember on the line.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This job includes other duties and responsibilities assigned by management. Regular attendance is essential to any position with Endura.
