Position Description

As an integral component of the sales team, the Clinical Science Consultant (CSC) will work to drive growth and expand adoption in targeted accounts for QuantiFERON TB Gold Plus. This will include evaluating current guidelines and providing clinical education to increase awareness and adoption for current and new customers. The CSC role is to drive growth in base accounts, maintain existing customers and work with the QuantiFERON sales teams to create new revenue opportunities.

- Collaborate with sales team to create new revenue opportunities

- Collaborate with sales team to create strategic plans to increase adoption in existing accounts and implement retention plans for critical accounts

- Provide formal and informal clinical presentations which require training of multiple personnel and overlapping multiple shifts

- Operate within the hospital environment at a clinical, lab and administrative level across departmental silos. Focus Areas: CMO, CNO, Executive Suites, Infectious Disease/Control, Risk Management, Administration, Hospitalist, Employee Health, Emergency Room, Pediatrics, Human Resources, Pulmonology, Pharmacy, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Dermatology, HIV, Transplant

- Partner with sales and technical support to develop strategy for successful customer on-boarding, implementation and adoption

- Proactively pursue public health and community outreach opportunities and speaking engagements


Position Requirements

- Four (4) year Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university is required

- Minimum of four (4) years healthcare consulting or education experience

- Current licensed Registered Nurse in state of residence or compact license

- Strong presentation skills

- Experience in sales, preferably in the hospital division of pharmaceutical sales or in vitro medical diagnostics industry

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Knowledge of laboratory workflow

- Knowledge of medical institution hierarchy

- 75-80% travel with overnight stays required

- Strong ability to work well in a diverse team environment

- Decision making ability

- Project management skills

- Strong computer skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook required

- Territory: East Region (ideally based in New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania)
