Job Summary:
Serves as single-point-of-contact for customer distribution projects, which includes the customer account relationship, project management from inception to completion and distribution system development, reliability and maintenance. Analyzes, designs and prepares structural and electrical specifications and work orders. Aligns resources to meet customer service commitments and leads teams to address customer needs.
Essential Functions:
*Develops relationships with key stakeholders so that the Company is regarded as a partner through consulting on electric service requirements, problem resolution, contractual agreements, reliability, outage coordination and overall customer satisfaction.
*Coordinates projects and communication for service extension negotiations related to service locations, requirements, costs, easement rights, construction timeframes, planning and reliability.
*Coordinates interdepartmental activity to meet customer needs and objectives.
*Develops and maintains business partnerships with elected officials and employees of city, county and state entities to effectively service customers.
*Identifies, evaluates, and explains issues related to compliance to governmental regulations, code violations, and CenterPoint Energy standards, adjusts the message to match the level of the audience
*Develops relationship with community and civic leaders so that CenterPoint Energy is regarded as a strong corporate citizen. Must be flexible to attend functions outside of normal work hours to represent CenterPoint Energy.
*Participates on appropriate process improvement teams and regional operations task forces to represent the role of the Key Accounts group, ensuring the group's role is properly represented in new business models as they are developed.
*Performs follow up with customer regarding their satisfaction with project work and if necessary initiates action based on feedback and/or resolve conflicts.
*Plans, budgets, monitors, controls and report son expenditures in area of responsibility, while effectively prioritizing workload and use of available resources within budget and time constraints.
Basic Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college or university in Science, or a related field required.
Experience:
Requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a project management role and/or leadership position in an electrical distribution operations or engineering function.

Physical Requirements
Able to hear oral communication either in person or on equipment such as telephone or mobile phone.
Able to reach, grasp and move items.
Able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Able to operate a personal computer, laptop, or smart phone proficiently and view a computer screen or monitor for extended periods of time.
Able to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, climb/descend stairs, reach and squat occasionally.
Able to operate a copy machine, printer, scanner, fax machine, telephone and other office equipment.

Able to operate motor vehicles, including the ability to enter and exit vehicles unassisted.

Working Conditions:
Able to support the Emergency Operating Plan.
Able to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether open office, cubicle or private office.
Able to travel occasionally, possibly overnight.
Able to work a varied schedule with projects and deadlines requiring the ability to meet changing demands.
Able to work with occasional exposure in all weather conditions, in or around dirty and/or greasy equipment, and in noisy conditions when at field sites or other settings.
Able to work as required, often over 40 hours a week.
Able to wear personal protection safety equipment, such as respirator, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, protective footwear and ear plugs, occasionally.
