We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator with Information Assurance (IA) responsibilities to support and maintain secure and reliable IT operations across both Windows and Linux environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system administration, basic Cisco networking, and maintaining cybersecurity compliance in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.

Duties:



  • Information Assurance (IA) Support
  • Maintain system security posture in compliance with DoD security requirements.
  • Apply IA patches and updates to information systems and applications.
  • Perform vulnerability and security scans using approved tools and document results.
  • Support accreditation and continuous monitoring efforts (e.g., RMF compliance).
  • May require occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs.


System Administration



  • Administer Windows and Linux operating systems on both networked and standalone systems.
  • Perform installation, testing, maintenance, and upgrades of operating systems and hardware.
  • Manage user accounts, system privileges, and equipment access rights.
  • Conduct routine system backups and restoration procedures.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.


Networking Support



  • Provide basic support for Cisco networking equipment, including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in the management of network infrastructure, including configuration management and network installations.
  • Asset and Configuration Management.
  • Track and manage software licenses to ensure compliance.
  • Manage and maintain software version control in accordance with DADMS (DoD Application Database Management System) standards.


Desired Education:



  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, with emphasis in Cyber Security


Desired Experience:



  • Three (3) years related experience in Cyber Security research and development.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with IA responsibilities.
  • Hands-on experience with both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with DoD security practices, including STIGs, RMF, and security scanning tools (e.g., ACAS, Nessus).
  • Experience with Cisco routers/switches and basic network configurations.
  • Strong understanding of system and software lifecycle management.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security).
  • Microsoft, Linux, or Cisco certifications (e.g., MCSA, RHCSA, CCNA).
  • Experience with DADMS and DoD IT asset management practices.


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
